What You Would Get To Do:
FIRST is seeking someone with basic creative writing and project management skills who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and can work effectively under tight deadlines. This is a part-time role (20–25 hours/week), with onsite work expected two days a week, ideally Tuesday and Wednesday.
Your Contributions
- Collaborate as a member of the Internal Communications team to promote our work, initiatives, and culture internally in support of the FIRST brand.
- Contribute to the day-to-day coordination and execution of the global internal communications plan, including campaigns, activities, and local events.
- Assist team members in creating content for the FIRST Hub (intranet), the monthly @ FIRST e-newsletter, and other communications that support our plan and global teams - including copywriting, proofreading, and collaborating with designers.
- Provide support with general internal communication tasks, company-wide meetings, local events, ad-hoc projects, and administrative support as needed.
- Bring enthusiasm, inspiration, and fresh ideas to the team, and flexibility and adaptability while working with global teams across multiple time zones.
- Act as an ambassador for the FIRST brand, leading by example and displaying the company’s core values (Ambition, Creativity, Excellence, Integrity, Teamwork)

- Working towards a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of different communication techniques, with prior experience in events or other creative projects considered a plus.
- Must be fluent in English
- Project management skills, including multi-tasking, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent research, organizational, and attention-to-detail abilities.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can take direction well.
- Adaptable to different situations, personalities, and requests.
- Calm and flexible under pressure.
- Creative problem-solving skills.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Exercises sound judgment, discretion, and maintains confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Experience with internal communication platforms (e.g., Simpplr) or other marketing/communication software is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with graphics or Photoshop is also a plus, but not required.
United States Residents: The base pay for this position is $20-25/HR, depending on experience.
