Location: Onsite in NY office (Hybrid) 20-25 hours weekly.
What You Would Get To Do:
The FIRST L&D team is looking for a passionate Learning & Development Intern! In this role, you will provide support through hands-on experience in instructional design and course development. You will have the opportunity to work cross functionally to learn more about how the Learning & Development team supports the business. You will support the creation and delivery of engaging, interactive learning experiences across a variety of platforms, including our eLearning modules. The successful candidate will report to the Learning Manager and be required to support with the operation of the FIRST Learning platform: FIRST Academy.

Your contributions
- Assist in designing training programs and learning materials that align with FIRST goals and learning principles.
- Develop and refine course evaluation and assessment methods to maximize learning impact.
- Support the design of interactive training elements that enhance learner engagement and continued learning, such as simulations, case studies, quizzes, and role-playing activities.
- Contribute to the development of creative learning approaches, and exploring ways to integrate these into in-person and online training.
- Support the daily administration and maintenance of FIRSTs Learning Platform: FIRST Academy, including course uploads, user management, and troubleshooting.
- Assist with the testing and quality assurance of new courses and learning content on FIRST Academy.
- Research and present findings and recommendations on how to incorporate innovative learning technologies into current training.
- Participate in the Internship Program training and events assigned.
