As a 2018 40 Under 40 honoree, Criqui discusses her passion for the events industry.
What I do: As a senior project manager, I plan and manage high-level client meetings and events across the country. I can plan a 10-person VIP dinner or a 1,000 person multi-track conference. I’m a food and beverage guru. I never take a menu at face value and I am always looking to incorporate the latest trends. When I’m in a particular city, I want to showcase the local food culture throughout the event.
How I got here: I started out as a part-time meeting planner and worked my way up by taking advantage of any opportunity presented. I now have a diverse planning experience having worked in the non-profit space, the automotive industry, and Finance.
Greatest career accomplishment: Last January, I planned a two-day meeting in New York for more than 500 attendees from around the world. After months of planning, there was a blizzard on day one. Despite all the odds, I am proud to say the meeting was executed seamlessly as if no storm had happened.
Impressive stats: I deliver six-figure savings annually.
