When FIRST entered the UK’s Best Workplaces™ for medium size companies for the first time last year, Managing Director of FIRST London, Mark Riches, was targeting a place in the Top 50.
“Attracting, developing and retaining top talent is critical for our agency. Over the last twelve months, we’ve driven transformational change, from the breadth of our capabilities, the size and expertise of our teams, and the scale and diversity of our client base. We believe that hiring and supporting the best talent has been instrumental in driving this change. Following our Investors In People Gold Award in 2015, we wanted to continue to benchmark our talent management against the best, not just in our industry but across the UK,” Mark said.
The UK’s Best Workplaces™, managed by Great Places to Work®, assesses companies through a combination of a culture audit and an online survey. The audit considers the policies and practices across the employee’s experience at work from selecting and welcoming, to learning and development, to communications and recognition. Through the online survey, employees are invited to provide their personal feedback, and the results are used to benchmark against other participating companies.
“Our achievement of 14th place is fantastic” comments Sarah Cox, Head of Talent for FIRST London. “We’re all delighted by the recognition, and importantly, we now have valuable insights from our teams to help us to continue to improve on becoming an even better place to work.”
FIRST New York was recently named as one of the Top 100 Best Places to Work in Events by Event Marketer, a further endorsement for this growing global agency.
