Jennifer Kauf, SVP, Creative Strategy & Brand Marketing, FIRST
Building a client’s story into an engaging live event requires both business savvy and creative flair. It’s a balancing act Jen executes with precision, using her education and experience to bring objectives-driven strategies and innovative thinking in equal measure to any engagement brought her way. Throughout her career in experiential marketing, Jen has crafted a variety of award-winning event marketing initiatives, guerrilla programs, and promotional campaigns for brands such as GE, NBC Universal, UBS, and A&E. During her tenure with FIRST, Jen has overseen the creative process for experiences including Verizon Media NewFronts, Mastercard leadership meetings, The New York Times thought leadership conferences, and Samsung product launches. And as an avid concert-goer, Jen understands what it takes to engage and entertain an audience, because she’s regularly a part of one. She majored in Studio Arts at Binghamton University.
Adam Suellentrop, VP, Creative Strategy, FIRST
Shaping rich, memorable, and emotionally powerful experiences are Adam’s passion. With a background in theater, an obsession with new technologies, and a desire to do things he’s never done before, Adam has over 15 years of industry experience and expertise leading some of FIRST’s biggest projects. He has directed over 100 large scale Keynotes working with executives likeMarco Benioff, Tim Armstrong and Sheryl Sandberg. He has lead teams of producers and strategists alike with career highlight including a phone launch at Radio City Music Hall, a webcast for 500K viewers, shutting down South Street Seaport, and overseeing the award winning global rebrand of Oath.
Maureen Ryan Fable, CEO, Group & CEO, Americas, FIRST
Since launching FIRST in the Americas in 2004, Maureen has made massive strides for the brand, positioning FIRST as an industry leader. Prior to FIRST, Maureen was the Director of Events at Billboard Magazine and The New York Stock Exchange. She then opened her own firm, Ryan-Fable Productions, which laid the groundwork for what would become the FIRST New York office. In recognition of her professional achievements, Maureen was inducted into the ILEA Hall of Legends and featured on the ‘Top 50 Smart Women in Meetings 2017’ list. In addition to being CEO, Group & CEO, Americas, Maureen found time to run the New York City Marathon in 2018 with the support of her FIRST family, a playlist of pop tunes, and a healthy jolt of diet cola to keep her going.
Sam Sherman, VP, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement, FIRST
Sam Sherman is Vice President, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement at FIRST. She is responsible for risk & compliance, procurement and contracting. Sam has delivered global events for over 20 years for clients in fields as varied as technology, education, finance, non-profit, consumer goods and politics. Sam joined FIRST in 2013 in client relations, and transitioned to a position as the manager of the Planning & Production team before moving into her current role. Sam has been a guest lecturer at Pace University, and most recently spoke at the BizBash Expo and COPE events in New York City on Event Security and on GDPR compliance at Event Tech in Las Vegas.
Margaret Spear, People & Culture Director, Americas, FIRST
Margaret Spear oversees human resources operations and strategy for FIRST in the Americas. In her role, she works closely with FIRST leadership, with a focus on employee relations, policies, and key initiatives. Among those are the performance management process, employee engagement, and reporting & analytics. She also leads the global FIRST volunteer committee, FIRST Cares, which focuses on philanthropy, sustainability, and wellness initiatives. Prior to joining FIRST, Margaret worked in HR advisory and Learning & Development at Bessemer Trust and Credit Suisse.
Tamsyn Barker, Managing Director – APAC, FIRST
Tamsyn is responsible for leading our team in APAC, and driving our global business forward. She has the right combination of creative and management talents, and has built her reputation over the past 20 years in both leadership and creative roles in experiential marketing, events, and brand communication. Tamsyn has experience delivering successful events of all scales throughout Australia, Asia Pacific, China, the Middle East, the United States and the United Kingdom. Immediately prior to FIRST, she served as the Executive Creative Director for Freeman. When not in the office, Tamsyn enjoys spending time with her two daughters and husband.
Weijie Huang, Senior Event Technology Manager, FIRST
Weijie Huang is the Senior Event Technology Manager at FIRST, delivering technology solutions to the Fortune 500 brands we serve, ensuring FIRST clients stay ahead of the curve with technology trends. During his time at FIRST, Weijie has developed custom solutions for clients across financial services, aerospace, consumer electronics, technology, medical and healthcare, automotive, media and the non-profit sectors.
